Some questions on what to do with some empty fields in th software installation table

Hi Everyone,
We are currently helping a client fix inconsistensies found in their Software Installation table as part of fixing their SAM implementation.

They currently have ServiceNow Discovery, File Discovery, and SG-SCCM active to get data about their software installation.

We noticed that 3 fields sometimes show up as blank and would like to know your opinions on how to resolve each or if it is something that needs to be manually cleaned up.

1. "Last Used" is blank for all discovery sources. Is this by design that the three discovery sources they are currently using cannot get information to populate the "Last Used" field in the "cmdb_sam_sw_install" table?

2. Most of the SG-SCCM and File Discovery Software installs have no "Last Scanned" date (Though there are some that do have last scanned date. As for ServiceNow Discovery, most of the blank "Last Scanned" is from VMWare and some Microsoft SQL Server installations. How do we make sure that SCCM and File Discovery will update the last scanned date field?

3. The Publisher field is blank for many software installations. For example, we would get data from SCCM for "Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime" and we expect it to at least get Microsoft as a publisher but it just shows up as blank. On the ServiceNow Discovery side, we noticed that files from AIX Servers will show up like "perl.rte" and for Windows Servers some files just don't have a publisher. Is this more on the problem of the data coming in like the softwares being detected just doesn't have a publisher specified in them?

Hopefully could help me understand what the issue is with these 3 fields that we saw that are blanks.

Thanks
