Thanks, We have successfully implemented storage discovery.
For VNX and VMAX we have setup a CIM Server.
For Unity CIM server comes natively with the device hence no additional CIM setup is needed.
For Recover Point - It is not possible to setup CIM server, hence we have taken the SNMP approach.
For Centera - It is not possible to setup CIM server, hence we have taken the SNMP approach.
below Storage Switches
- Brocade FC Switches - CIM Server was setup
- Cisco / EMC FC Switches - It is not possible to setup CIM server, hence we have taken the SNMP approach.

We are at Quebec version and yesterday I ran Discovery to Brocade storage switches, and the IP Switch pattern is started and the CI type that is created is "IP Switch (cmdb_ci_ip_switch), like a classic network switch. In the CMDB data model, a storage switch is cmdb_ci_storage_switch. I could not find any Discovery pattern that creates storage switch ci class. Doesn't ServiceNow support Discovery of Storage Switches?
