Hi all,

Does anyone discover "SuSE Linux Enterprise Server for Teradata" operating system and OS edition (STND or TDC) using ServiceNow Discovery?

Can you check below. 1. Check ECC queue OS EDITION field in recent discovery. 2.In discovery logs it will display the pattern name related to the class and find the pattern having OS Edition mapping. If not available you should create the mapping. But issue not from pattern might it doesn't have value from your Linux server. Please mark as helpful/correct answer if helped. Regards, Suresh.

Hi, Is that server have IP addres ? If yes , can you discover based on ipaddress. As per OOB, it will bring the OS , OS Edition to ServiceNow. Regards, Suresh.

Hello Suresh,

Yes we discover based on IP, and the server was discovered successfully.

The discovered OS is shown as "Linux SuSE" only. Viewing cmdb_ci_linux_server table in CI Class Manager, I don't find that OS Edition attribute is available. 

I have the logic how to identify if a host runs on "SuSE Linux Enterprise Server for Teradata".

I am new to SN, and wonder if it would require to create a new pattern, or to extend the existing Linux Server pattern.
