Hello Experts,
going for vCenter discovery. NO Event management licese, but have ITOM and service mapping license.
We have vCenter on VMware Photon OS
1. vmware credentials setup
2. Credentials Validated - Okay
3.Discovery schedule
4. Run on Demand
but nothing returns below discovery logs . What is missing here please suggest. It is not on linux/win OS system. Thanks

@Nisha30 - Check the below points,
Make sure the port 5480 (VAMI) & 9443 (VSphere Web Client) API are opened from your Mid Server.
User account has read only access privilege for the global objects in the vCenter.

vCenter Discovery is via probe so it's harder to see via Discovery logs. I suggest going to the CI Class Manager and checking the following CI Classes: ESX Server, VMware vCenter (Instance, Cluster, Network, Datastore, Folder, Datacenter) as well as VMware Virtual Machine (Template and Instance). The CIs in these classes should match the vSphere portal hierarchy.

Hi @Cassandra Kittl what exactly to see there not aware . is any logs from CI class manager of any other things

@Nisha30 - Can you check whether you are able to access the vCenter IP in the Mid Server browser.
If yes, then check whether you are able to telnet to the port 5480 & 9443
If your vCenter API is configured to use 443 then we need to use the alternate port option
