What are the CIs used to represent an NFS or SMB mount.

Attached are some relationship maps extracted from the guide to describing Isilon NAS servers in the Service Now CMDB. The pictures show my guess at some red/pink boxes which may be the correct way to map the client machines(Servers) but I am unable to find the correct model in google.

I cannot find a mapping that goes all the way to the Windows or Unix server mounting the NFS/SMB share, and I see no obvious places for recording the information about an NFS export - like the list of allowed clients,

Any help is much appreciated. Including advice on the correct forum & topic for CMDB queries.

Hi Shaun

I'm sorry for the "data masking" 😞

Yes, there are a 147GB filesystem pusblished/attached to two servers (server01 and server02) in the same mount point.

The NFS's "name" is: [IP]:/xxxxx/data

The media type is: network

The filesystem value is: nfs

The mount point is: /export/home/fpbatch

The "File System" with the value "nfs" is a choice like this:

find_real_file.png

Is inherited from the "cmdb_ci_storage_volume" class/table

Hi Shaun

In the cmdb_ci_storage_fileshare and cmdb_ci_storage_server tables there aren't any row 😞

Remember i'm using OOTB discovery for this without any customizations/change
