What happens to alert if the event resolution state is changed to closed.

Suppose if the Resolution State of event is closing, will we be able to see the alert number in alert field or not

Hi Ankitha,
If the event has been generated and closed within a short time, then I don't think you will have the alert generated. Ideally, it will not be the case.

An event with the resolution state closing won't create an alert.
Unless there is an event with the same message key and resolution state "new", before the closing event, that created an alert.
In this case the event with the resolution state closing will close the related alert.
