What role is required to view related items on a CI?

users with "cmdb_read" role should be able to view related items on a CI.

If there is no customisation in your organisation then itil and CMDB_READ is enough for this.

the users in questio have the cmdb_read role.  They see CI's but no the related items on the CI record

check if you have any acls on table cmdb_rel_ci table which might be restricting that.
