Hi Mayuri
The location value is set based on the location field on the schedules in which this IP lies.
Mark it helpful if this helps you to understand. Accept solution if this give you the answer you're looking for

(1) Check Your Discovery Schedule with Location Values. OOTB Location is populated based on location value given in Discovery Schedule.
(2) if Quick Discovery is RUN then Location is Set as the Location of User who ran discovery .
For Null Location in ur case check the schedule from where its getting updated/created.
Some more details on same in this KB- https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0864114
Hope This Helps.
Regards

Hello,
The location is already set in Discovery schedule.Yet it fails to update the location field in cmdb_ci.List.Please refer the screenshot.
The location update is controlled by Discovery Sensor as shown in attachment.
i am not sure what can be done next to fix this. What troubleshooting steps i shall be performing.
