There are many field types in ServiceNow, including the Date field and the Date/Time field. When you add the Date or Date/Time field, users can click the calendar icon next to the field to see the calendar widget. This widget makes it easy for users to specify an exact date and time. The calendar widget should appear close to the field. In this example, the calendar icon was clicked next to the Date of birth field and the calendar widget appeared just below the field:

Calendar widget is in the wrong spot
Users are seeing a bothersome issue with the calendar widget. If you click the calendar icon to the right of a service catalog item date field or variable, the calendar picker does not appear near the field or variable like this:
Instead, it pops up in the top left corner like this:
This is not only annoying, but, in many cases, you have to scroll to the top of the screen to even see the calendar picker.
Note: For the most current information about versions in which this issue has been seen and has been fixed, view the known error article associated with the problem: KB0595003: Clicking the calendar button next to a date field for a catalog item causes the calendar .... You can subscribe to the known error article and be automatically notified when there are changes (such as the addition of new "fixed in" versions) by clicking the Subscribe button in the upper right corner of the article.
Options to resolve this issue
If possible, upgrade to one of the versions listed above where the issue is fixed.
If you cannot upgrade at this time, there is a UI script named sys_ui_script_date_time_positioning_workaround.xml (see attached) that you can load. Be sure to remove this script before your next upgrade. Leaving this script in place causes issues and you will miss key updates.
