Add item to Activity Stream

With Jakarta, the Additional Comments and Work Notes have moved to the Activity Stream.   With the Work Notes, we add many notes to one record be it in Incident or Problem or a task for each.   I would like to create an additional field like Work Notes that gives me the ability to add multiple items to a single task.   I've looked into the Activity Formatter, but not sure that's where I should be looking.   Our lead for Problem Management is asking for some way to add additional information like Work Notes, each time a person is in the Task record.

If you are looking to have another field added that is like work notes, you will need to add a new field to the form that is defined as a Journal Field. Once added you will need to configure the Activity Stream to have that in there.

Added the field I needed, but when I click on the Activity Filter icon, I don't get the 'Customize available fields' option.   I have granted my group the 'personalize_form' role which the documentation says I need.
