Not sure what changes occurred to cause this. If I had to guess we saw after moving from Express to ITSM. I am not finding any ACL's that might have caused this, though I may not be looking for the right one.
Non-admins experience this flash for the additional comments box on the RITM form. I am impersonating one of the itil users and refreshing page. If under my admin account I go to the form the box appears as it should.
Thanks in advance for any assistance or guidance.

If it ends up actually loading on the form and then disappears, then it's most likely a UI Policy or Client Script.
If it was ACL, those are server based and extremely quick to assert themselves so it wouldn't flash at all I'd believe.
I'd recommend checking your UI Policies and Client Script for any that have to do with additional comments and see if something is going on there.

Thanks for the input. I did search policies but nothing stood out. Will review again and scripts.

Hi there,
For normal fields it is like Allen described: if ACL's are correct in place they will not appear at all because of the server side component if Client Script/UI Policies they might flash shortly because of the client side component.
Though... for Additional Comments, this is not exactly the same! These might also flash shortly depending on the performance.
So if you're ACL's are just fine, this is is just expected behavior.
Kind regards,
Mark
