Auto renewal of contracts (ast_contract)

Hello,

We have some questions regarding the use of contracts :

-On the renewal tab when you check the auto renewal, you have the possibility to select the option (1, 2 or three years). If let's say we check one year, does it mean it is automaticaly renewed every year or just on year after the end date ? I have the impression it's the latter, if so how can we manage a auto renewal each year ?

-I am not sure of the best word to use in english but for each contract, we have a "prior notice" period ("préavis" in french), it's the period where we can notice the contractor that we want to terminate the contract. Can we manage that in contracts OOB ? If no i supposse we can manage that by customisation.

Question 1: For auto renewal once it's complete the approval process it automatically renews.if you are looking at custom renewal option then you might need to edit the OOTB script.

Question 2:Currently OOTB system sends an email (30,60,90 and on end date of the contract) to the contract administrator (who responsible for follow up of the contract extension).

Ok for question 2, for question 1 just to make sur i understood your answer it will be renewed each year ? For example : a contrat that ends on 31/12/2022 with an option of one year, will be extended each year until we cancel it manually or will it be renewed only one time until 31/12/2023 ?
