We have multiple change requests opened for the same project. This is due to the categories and approvals to be different based on the type of changes that are required. I know there is a tab for child incidents but cannot determine if a tab for child changes is available. I was able to insert the parent change in several change requests but was not able to see the children if I open the parent change request. Our goal is to reduce our change requests listed on our weekly change listing to only include the parent. However, if members want to review the child changes, we could do so easily by viewing the parent change request. Any ideas of how this or something similar can be achieved?

What field are you using to relate a child to a parent?
If its Parent, there should be a related list available from Change Request that looks like this...

we have parent field on the change_request table. You can use this field to set as parent change on all of your child changes under that change. By this you build a reference relation between your parent and child changes.
Hope this helps !!!

I have the parent change field to include the parent change. However, when I view the parent change request, I do not see that it has any children. I know within an incident, it has a tab for 'child incidents' so I am able to see any incidents related to the parent incident. How can I see any child changes related to a parent change while viewing the parent change?

Can you not use Change Tasks for this?

I'm with Daryll on this one. The differentiation between a change and a change task seems to be "what needs to be approved". If all the Change Requests need to move through the approval process, then what's bringing them all together? Sounds more like a Project perhaps.
