Hi @SreenadhChenna ,

Basic, the normal report designer query the specified table every time you run the report where performance analytics take snapshots of data. This refer to, than if data changes overtime after snapshot is taken, the number will not change.

Furthermore it is possible to do specific calculation on different data collections according to your needs together with creating advanced visualizations etc.

You can read further on performance analytics here: https://www.servicenow.com/products/performance-analytics.html?state=seamless or you are welcome to ask a questions which I will be happy to answer.

HI @SreenadhChenna ,
I trust you are doing great.

Performance Analytics in ServiceNow:

Performance Analytics is an advanced analytics tool in ServiceNow that allows organizations to track, aggregate, and visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) over time, rather than just providing a snapshot of current data. It helps businesses to make data-driven decisions by providing insights into their ServiceNow operations.

Real-time Example:

Imagine a large organization with a busy IT helpdesk. They receive thousands of incident tickets every month. Without Performance Analytics, they can see how many tickets are open or closed at any given moment, but they can't easily track trends or identify patterns.

With Performance Analytics, the organization can:

  1. Trend Analysis: Track the number of incident tickets opened and closed each day over several months. This can help identify if there's a recurring spike in tickets at specific times, perhaps due to a regular system update that often goes wrong.

  2. Drill Down: If there's a spike in tickets, they can drill down to see details. For instance, they might find that most of the tickets come from a specific department or are related to a particular software application.

  3. Set and Monitor KPIs: The organization can set KPIs, like "Reduce incident tickets by 10% over the next quarter." Performance Analytics will then allow them to monitor their progress towards this goal in real-time.

  4. Predictive Analysis: Based on past data, the tool can predict future trends. For instance, if the number of tickets has been steadily increasing, it might forecast a further rise in the coming months unless action is taken.
