Can you link more than one RITM to a change request?

Can you link more than one RITM to a change request?  Or is using the parent field the only way which limits linking one RITM to a change request?

You should be able to out of the box. You will need to add "Request Item > Parent" into the related lists here:

Once added, you can add many RITMs to one CHG record from the "Requested Items" related list:

The answer that Mattystern gave you is accurate to represent that a change is the PARENT of many ritms.

In other words, you will see that change number in the parent field of all those ritms.

Another perspective: the change "gave birth" to many ritms. The parent field of that change will be empty.

You may be getting confused by seeing one ritm on the parent field of the change and thinking "how can I put more?". But you have to realize that seeing a ritm on the parent field of the change is the opposite statement: the ritm "gave birth" to that change. And it could have more changes if you add the same ritm to many changes. Then you would see all those changes in a related list of the ritm.

Bottom line is that you have to decide what do you really want to represent.... who is giving birth to whom 😉
