Cannot dot walk to reference fields from Report

Hello,

I am running into an issue after upgrading to Fuji with reporting. Some of the users are not able to dot walk to reference fields from one table to another in a report. One of the Knowledge admins is trying to run a report in the Knowledge Use (kb_use) table and trying to show the article and the article short description from the Knowledge base table. The article number is shown but not the short description. I have checked the ACLs to make sure that he still has access and the acls seem to be correct. I also create a new ACL specific to the short description field of the Knowledge table but did not help. I, as an admin, can see all the fields in the report which leads me to think that they can't see it due to an ACL but the ACLs seem to be fine. Any ideas? Has anyone run into this problem before? Any help is appreciated! I have attached a picture below.

Thank you,

Yeny

After doing more investigating, I noticed that I didn't have one in the knowledge table. i created a read ACL on the kb_knowledge > none and added the knowledge admin and knowledge role. That seems to be working.

Hi Yeny,

I once had a similar issue (though with different table) and I found this article:

Issue with ACL on dot-walked field

This is a known problem on Service Now and there is a workaround for this issue.

Take a look and sees if it helps you.

Thanks,

I just saw that right now but I am on Fuji 10 now so it should be fixed. I ended up creating an ACL on a field level none as some of the users from that thread suggested and that seems to be doing the trick! thank you!
