CONDITION BUILDER operator help

All,

I create a lot of ad hoc reporting in the Change Management application of SN. Most of this reporting requires use of dates and times. On one of the SN wiki pages I saw a table of all the operators based on the type of field you would choose but no explanations of what they do or how / when to use them.
For Date-time, there are two operators ....... TREND and RELATIVE
If anyone has a good definition of how / when to use these operators as well as (hopefully) examples of what the output of using these operators would look like, that would be very helpful.

Not sure if you got an answer on this or not, but I'm resurrecting your thread anyway because this is some handy info that I blew 2 hours searching for.

TREND will allow you to specify specific hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, and years.   This is can be especially important when using the RELATIVE operator.

For example, we run a report first thing Wednesday and Friday mornings that show hte approved Changes for this weekend (friday saturday sunday).   On Friday the report criteria says "on / after today" but "Relative On or Before 3 days from Now".   The problem is "3 days from now" is really 72 hours... which means if I run my report at Noon on Friday I'm going to see Changes prior to noon on Monday, when I really only want to see up to the end of Sunday.   That's where TREND comes in.

Now I'm certain that I'm only looking at Friday Saturday Sunday, on top of my other timing conditions.

Nothing like being timely in my reply ... your reply did help along with a number of other emails I received.   Thanks and apologies for the VERY late reply.

No problem-o.   Smash that helpful/correct button.
