I have update my email properties to enable both outgoing and incoming emails on my developer instance, however only outgoing emails appear to be working.
I have sent in a new email into my developer email address devxxxx@servicenowdevelopers.com and have also replied on one of the outgoing incident notifications emails from my dev instance. But when I check either the inbox on received on inbound emails nothing is appearing.
Can we receive emails on our developer instances ?

Hello Hulian,
Configure following property for correct email sending and receiving. As you can seen in image, replace From address with devXXXXX@service-now.com

Have you tried sending the e-mail to:
devXXXXX@service-now.com
That's the way I'm using successfully for my dev instance.

Please try this Exercise: Create Inbound Email Action | ServiceNow Developers
Detail:
IMPORTANT: Personal Developer Instances (PDIs) email using an email address with the format devXXXXX@servicenowdevelopers.com, where XXXXX = your PDI number. Older PDIs will not receive emails sent to this address. If you have an older PDI, when replying to emails in this exercise, you need to change the recipient to devXXXXX@service-now.com.
To determine if you need to change the email recipient, use the All menu to open System Mailboxes > Administration > Email Accounts. Open the ServiceNow POP3 email account record. If the Server value is pop3, you need to change the To: email address to devXXXXX@service-now.com when you reply in this exercise. If the Server value is pop3dev, you do not need to make any changes.
