Dashboards and required roles/licenses

We are rolling out the Istanbul release and I am trying to decide whether ITIL role users should use Responsive or Non-Responsive dashboards or remaining with Homepages.

The Responsive Dashboards appear to be the best and according to the Differences between Responsive/Non-Responsive Dashboards and Homepages documentation, it indicates any role will allow creation and updating of Responsive dashboards. It says some specific PA roles are required to Create/Update/View Non-responsive dashboards.

My questions is: since we do not have a license for performance analytics, can we use Responsive and Non-responsive dashboards? I am not trying to use "trending" report data that is provided by Performance Analytics, but I like the Dashboards to share and configure the widgets for each group along with configuring how the widgets appear.

Thoughts?

Wow, that's a sad response from our side Jeffery.

Your account rep should have a solution consultant they can go to for the technical information. That's the SC's job. If they don't know, they ask internally. Is there any way to get in touch with your SC?

I'll do a little probing internally.

Here is an official word from the Reporting/PA business unit as of this writing...

The answer is no.   Even though the Dashboards link shows up under the Performance Analytics app, you do not need the licensed version of Performance Analytics to use dashboards.   In fact, you can have tabbed dashboards that contain nothing but report widgets.   Customers are also entitled to use the out of the box interactive filters on those dashboards.

If they want to create their own interactive filters or use PA indicators not included out of the box, then they need the fully licensed version of Performance Analytics.

Thank you!!!
