Empty Shopping Cart Error

We are experiencing an intermittent problem of an empty shopping cart when a user orders an item. When a user orders an item and then clicks back to the main page of the service catalog the item sometimes disappears from the cart. If the user tries to check out the system prints a message stating you cannot check out with an empty cart. The item was not deleted from the cart so it should still be there.
Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?

There is too much of concurrency at the point when a Cart is getting created. I see, thats the reason its behaving this way. Yes as Matt said, We might need a Business Rule to clean up all the Zombie carts 😄

We are having the same issues when people go to checkout with a workorder it says "Empty Cart" and doesn't take the cart - Was there work around for this? I don't even know how to troubleshoot cause i haven't been able to replicate it - it seems sparatic. TIA

Something similar here. I have got an empty request, i.e. with no requested items attached to it. I fail to see how this could have happened and I can not reproduce it. Any ideas?

Do you get an error message near the top saying "Cannot check out with an empty cart!"?
Send a screenshot if you can
