Hello guys ,
I have a quick question about the approval , From my assumption there will be a difference in license cost for the "ITIL" and"Approver_user" role .
Approver_user role can be assigned to end user who can approve their approval request .
Questions
Can end user approve their approval record from portal without having any role ?
if answer is yes :
A) what is the purpose of having approver_user role in the system i can ask all the end users to go ahead and approve from portal , which will decrease my license cost.
if answer is no :
b) why Snow allowing us to remove the approver_user role from the approval record widget ?
c) How servicenow can track how many licenses we are consuming

Hi Bobby,
Unless you have a flag set in your subscription management settings to limit license grants to the number you have purchased, there is nothing to stop you from having far more approvers, fulfillers, whatever than your purchased license count. ServiceNow has tracking mechanisms built into the system that monitor licenses used versus purchased. They are somewhat accommodating if you are over by a few for a little while. If you remain over your purchased amount, your account rep will contact you about the situation.
That is my understanding. For questions about licenses, usage, etc. you are always best advised to ask your ServiceNow account team.
