Is anyone using the CMDB Business Process (cmdb_ci_business_process) table?
Can anyone give me some examples and/or scenarios on what we could add in this table? And what is the purpose of it?
Thanks.
Fernando.

Hi Fernando,
You may find the below thread helpful.
How do I learn the purpose and use of the CMDB_CI tables?

I reviewed the link and the pages referenced in that post. I didn't find the detail that I was looking for.
I also would like to find the capability and proper use of the Business Process CI class. In the referenced thread, it simply states that the Business Process (cmdb_ci_business_process) class is to "Map incidents and problems to the process they came from"
I would like to relate a business service to the "business capability" the service enables. In this sense, I am using term "process" and "capability" interchangeably. That may or may not be the correct assumption. If this isn't correct, I'm hoping someone will let me know.
From the ServiceNow console, how are Business Processes entered? Is there a out of the box form or menu that supports the data entry of business processes?

Hey Larry, were you ever able to get the additional detail you were looking for around business capability? I am curious too.

No, not yet. But I'm still working on determining the details and trying to understand how to use it. My current theory is that business process management will be more appropriately managed via the 'Application Portfolio Management' module.
As I started getting deeper into the Istanbul documentation, I came across these instructions for adding business processes: https://goo.gl/W1UdGt
We have not yet implemented Application Portfolio Management, but will be investigating and planning for it after we upgrade our instance this summer.
