Exclude an IP address from any discovery

In SN Discovery is there a way to put list of IP#s to be excluded from any discovery that is run in the Discovery Schedule jobs. This is for all IP ranges not just one Discovery Range set. If anybody try to run a discovery in a schedule job or a quick discovery it would skip the numbers that were in that list.

This can be done at the discovery_range_item_exclude table.

It works (both responses from Prateek and salbers refer apparently to the same table) but...

It only works in a given IP range context e.g. you cannot specify "global exclusion ranges" that would work "no matter what" (I saw such feature in a discovery tool I used before).

I have the same question. We want to exclude all .21's (in the 4th octet) because they are printers that are getting shut down every time discovery hits them. So I want all .21's excluded in all discovery ip ranges of a certain grouping without having to manually enter an exclusion for every single range.

Can this be done?

Did you find a way to resolve this?

We're dealing with a similar scenario.

Thanks
