There are few KM expiry related notifications.
Is it possible to exclude a specific individual from receiving notification based on ownership group of the articles.
Suppose I am in multiple ownership groups but I only want to receive notifications for articles in ABC ownership group and not for rest of the group I am part of. Could this be achieved anyway?

No, unless you create multiple notifications for it.
But I also think you are looking for the wrong solution. If you are part of an ownership group and your process states that the ownership group has to receive notifications, you receive those notifications. If you don't want the others, you shouldn't be part of the ownership group, because you simply don't want to own them.

@Mark Manders no actually the user wants to be part of all the ownership group but still want to receive notifications for few only and not from all of the ownership group.

So he wants to be something but not have the responsibility? The ownership group is just for that: receive the notifications that something needs to be done. It really sounds like you are trying to get a lot of customization in there, just because one person wants to be something he is not. He is literally saying 'I want to show everyone I am owner of this, but I don't want to be bothered with what comes with it'. I wish my bank would allow that: put a mortgage on my name, but don't send me payment requests.
You are either an owner, or you aren't. deal with it. He can unsubscribe from all the notifications.
You will have to create separate notifications for the knowledge bases for this, which means you also have to maintain all of them. And within those notifications, you will have to add the users separately, which means you will no longer do it by group (since the user is part of the group). You are creating technical debt just because one person wants to be something he is not.
Let him put rules in his own mailbox to not see those emails. His problem shouldn't be yours.

Yeah, thank you for the thorough explanation. I was also thinking even if we find a way to make this work, it could set a precedent—other users might request similar exceptions, which would only add to our technical debt. That approach just isn’t sustainable.
