I need a pdf view of the RITM but through printer friendly version few variable fields are not visible in pdf. I need to find the source of the "printer friendly versions" script or a way to get those fields in pdf which are visible on RITM.Can anyone help?

Hi @Phoebe Buffay ,

if you open the printer friendly version of a RITM via the settings (gear icon in the upper right corner and at section "General" click on printer icon) you get an URL like this

https://<YOUR INSTANCE ID>.service-now.com/sc_req_item.do?sys_id=aeed229047801200e0ef563dbb9a71c2&sysparm_record_rows=1&sysparm_view=ess&sysparm_record_target=sc_req_item&sysparm_record_list=request.requested_for%3Djavascript%3Ags.getUserID%28%29%5Eactive%3Dtrue%5EORDERBYDESCnumber&sysparm_record_row=1&sysparm_stack=no&sysparm_force_row_count=999999999&sysparm_media=print

The only difference to a normal URL is the parameter sysparm_media at the end. That means that there is no individual script generating the printer friendly version but probably some special CSS. So if something is missing it would be helpful to get a screenshot from you to understand your problem better.

Kind regards
Maik

Adding to the point you cannot access the backend code which generates the Printer friendly PDF version as it comes from platform level.
