How do I remove the Request Approved from start of workflow

I have a workflow that has a “Waiting for an approval” stage as the first item after Begin in the workflow then it moves on. However when you submit the catalog item associated with this workflow and check the stages it always says Approved as the first stage. I don’t have any stage that says Approved in this part of the workflow.

I tried changing the order in the Workflow stages on the Workflow properties but it didn’t make any difference.

How do I remove the Approved stage from the start of the workflow?

Hi Ravinda,

No, I want to keep the approval. I just don't want it to be the first stage. The first stage should be waiting for manager approval but this one appears second behind Request Approved. I want to swap them around. However this one seems to be a default first stage and I don't know how to move it or remove it.

Hi riskay,

What is your role here? If your are an admin or workflow manager can edit this,

before editing you have to check out the workflow then you can edit it,so go to workflows 

select your workflow checkout the workflow and swap it .

Sorry, I don't think I am explaining myself very well.

I am an admin. I understand how to move things around on the workflow canvas. The problem is, there is no Stage for the Request Approved for me to move/swap on the canvas.

This is the start of my workflow

However, when you submit, the first stage on the RITM automatically goes green and says Request Approved    and then moves on to . I don't want it to have the Request Approved there because it hasn't been approved yet and is this is confusing for the requester. It should say Request Approved after the Workflow Approvals not before.

I have not set a Stage in Begin but if I do add a Stage like Waiting for Approval all it does is put another Stage in after the Request Approved Stage .

How do I remove that first circle that says Request Approved. I have tried creating a new workflow with just a Begin and an End and it still puts the approval in even though it isn't set on any Stage.
