How to add multiple outages on the same CI to a single Incident record

We have a business requirement to be able to add multiple outages on a single CI w/in an Incident record. For example, we may have an incident affecting 5 CI's so we add those as outages in the Affected CI list. One of those CI's may resolve (aka end outage) but the other remain open. At some point in time later the 1 resolved CI goes down again.

As of now since the Add and Edit buttons won't allow the same CI to be added more than once, we "work around" this by going directly to the Task = INCxxxx.

While this works, it only allows a single CI each time.

Due to the way our business works there may be dozens of CI's affected in an incident and those CI's may briefly restore or go down during the course of the incident before full restoration. Each of these needs to be tracked so the one by one is very resource intensive.

Question is... is there a better way to add multiple outages on CI's? The Edit button functionality is preferred but as I'd indicated earlier, does not allow the same CI to be added more than once.

Have you looked at using the Outage table?

Thats essentially what we are doing yes. However, it only allows us to add one at a time with the new button. The request is to be able to add multiple in a single shot (aka some sort of multi select).
