how to delete a OOB dictionary entry ?

Hi All ,

i want to delete the OOB field called "manager" , but unable to delete that.

Please suggest if you have any inputs.

I am not sure why you want to delete a OOB field instead of just disabling it or removing field from form and list. But if you still want to delete it, you have to clear out the data in that field first and then try to delete it.

Thank you for the response ,

The problem is  , we have a OOB field "manager" that is a type of reference , by mistake we changed the field type to "list" , and it is converted to list type

now the problem is we want to back that field as reference , and found that is not possible

so my plan is to delete this field and import the same field from another instances

I think that field could be child coming from a parent table. That's why you are not able to delete it .

Just hide the field via ACL and limit to the admin .
