How to extend a custom table to the task table

Good Morning,

I have a custom table that I would like to extend to the task table.  I thought it was extended when I created the table since the "Extends table" field showed task.  But it appears that it doesn't extend to the task table.  I've looked up the table and couldn't find a task table for my new table.  I selected the extensible option and click saved, but that did not create a task table.  Is there another way that I can achieve this or should I open a support ticket.

Thanks,

Not sure what you mean, You will have a custom table by any name and it is extending task table.

This will not rename task table or its fields.

You can change label of task table fields to something else on your custom fields, you can change other attributes as well(its called dictionary override)

Hi,

The screenshot shows the table extends Task already

Is it not showing?

if the table doesn't have much data; delete that table and create fresh one which extends task

Hi,

It looks like it is extended already, do you see the task table fields like assignment to / assignment group, number etc?

How are you testing and confirming that it is not extended from task table?

Yes I have those fields.  Unless it didn't name it ask "Custom Table task".

Those fields are present , it indicates that your custom table does extend tasks as these fields are form task table.
