How to hide the Agent Workspace side panel by default

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to hide the form/contextual side panel by default when a user opens Agent Workspace? We currently have Agent Assist, Attachment and Template options available for our users and Agent Assist always opens by default when opening an incident in Agent Workspace. We'd like the panel to be hidden/collapsed by default with the user clicking one of the options to open it if they choose to.

Cheers,

Brad

So I am embarrased to admit that I had overlooked the Settings menu in Agent Workspace and there is a toggle to hide the contextual side panel by default. Our users will need to do this for themselves as I can't see a way to change it globally, but it seems to remember their choice and apply it the next time they open Agent Workspace.

Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this post.

Thanks Dirk.

I've been looking in to the page config to see if there is a way to set the collapse by default but haven't figured out a way yet. I'll take a look at creating a new custom component with a small width though, that seems like a good solution in the interim.

Thanks for your help.

Brad

Hi Brad,

Thank you for letting us know but I am still searching where exactly you did that?

Thank you

Got it never mind:)

Hi @Brad ,

Is it happening for default and then user again need to go and change setting?

Just want to let you know that if you want to do it for all.

You can try below

1. Disable setting for your ID

2. Goto User preferences-> find record something like below

find_real_file.png

3. Remove the user and click system box and save the record

find_real_file.png

If anyone has not intentionally set it will be false for them.

If you want to remove it for existing users then Inform them -> search for same preference -> Mark the value false which might be true for them

Hope this helps 🙂
