Hi everyone,
Is there a way to hide the form/contextual side panel by default when a user opens Agent Workspace? We currently have Agent Assist, Attachment and Template options available for our users and Agent Assist always opens by default when opening an incident in Agent Workspace. We'd like the panel to be hidden/collapsed by default with the user clicking one of the options to open it if they choose to.
Cheers,
Brad

So I am embarrased to admit that I had overlooked the Settings menu in Agent Workspace and there is a toggle to hide the contextual side panel by default. Our users will need to do this for themselves as I can't see a way to change it globally, but it seems to remember their choice and apply it the next time they open Agent Workspace.
Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this post.
Cheers,
Brad

Hi
I'm afraid this is not possible, but maybe I misunderstood your question.
Could you please explain the business requirement for your question? Asking for a solution ("hide the side panel") is not the ideal approach to get the best help.
Kind regards
Maik

Hi Maik,
Our Service Desk have recently started using Agent Workspace and are complaining about the screen real estate. They would like to be able to collapse or hide the contextual side panel by default, with it only opening if they choose one of the actions such as Agent Assist, Templates or Attachments.
Above is a screen shot of the panel I am referring to. By default, the Agent Assist action is selected by default when an incident record is opened. We'd like it to not be selected so that the contextual side panel is collapsed/hidden instead.

Hi
I'm afraid the Contextual Side Panel is not collapsible.
Kind regards
Maik

Hi
I think, it IS collapsible. If you click on the "Agent Assist" Button", it toggles between collapsed and expanded.
The only question is, if you can "collapse" it by default, when opening a Form in Workspace...
I have not found any solution so far.
But what is the reason, why you want to HIDE the Contextual Side panel by default?
Do you want to save some space on screen?
If that is the case, you may want to add a custom component to the actions in the Contextual Side Panel with a very small width.
I did not test that yet, but the documentation tells, that the content of the Contextual Side Panel is "Responsive".
Maybe you can add a very thin Component and set it as the first "Order" in the List of Actions, which will pre-select it when opening a Form.
Maybe that will solve your issue.
Let me know if that answers your question and mark my answer as correct and helpful.
