How to identify if the incident is auto or manually assigned to the assignment group

Dear Expert,

There is a requirement to take the report of all the incident which was auto assigned to the assignment group using the auto assignment rule.

Is there any out of the box flag for identifying incident if it was auto incident to the assignment group or else how can i create a flag when incident is auto assigned to the assignment group.

Appreciate your expert advice.

Regards

Hi @SShiva Yadav ,

There is no OOTB flag to tell you if the incident was auto incident to the assignment group.

However, if you go to the list view of incidents, you can find "Updated by" if it's "System" then it's auto assigned else if it's manual then it will show you the name of the user who assigned or updated.

Mark my answer correct & Helpful, if Applicable.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Thanks Sandeep,

"Updated by" will keep changing as incident are updated, if i want to take the report end of the month it will not help, it will give the name of last updated incident.

Hi @SShiva Yadav

If the last "update" isn't the assignment group, seeing who updated the incident isn't enough. You can see the "History" here:

And filter by "assignment group"

Please mark helpful or correct if I helped you.

Thanks Arielgritti for your reply,

For individual incident i can see from the notes or history, but if i want to take the report end of the month of the incident will was assigned automatically using the auto assignment rule, this will not help.

Is there any way to create a customs flag.
