How to limit the rows in the multi-row variable set on the catalog form ?

How can we limit the rows in the multi-row variable set on the catalog form ?

The number of rows should not exceed 5.

Moreover, I have another requirement for the mrvs where i need to send the mrvs rows to a third party tool using REST API. 

For example : ROW 1 

                     ROW 2

Should create 2 rows at their end as well.

Any help is great !!
