Hi Champions.

I have following requirement:

1. My Client wants to migrate all the 7 years historical Data From existing Domain Separated ServiceNow Instance to the New Instance.

2. I would like to understand, What is the best practice to migrate and options to migrate?

3. Does migrated data required to be stored in the Separate Tables OR Target tables directly?

4. How to access the  Data  on periodic basis for Audit reasons?

The data got Images and Attachments etc.

Your help is highly appreciated?

Thanks,

Srinivas

I would suggest exporting/importing the Domains first to your new Instance, then you could always clone your previous instance to the new one.

Please have a look at this Knowledge article from ServiceNow.

Thanks a lot for response Friends.

I want to migrate a single client from one domain separated instance to another Domain Separated Instance not to dedicated instance.

At present existing Domain Separated Instance being managed by Different Service Provider of ServiceNow and client wanted to migrate to another Service Provide Domain Separated instance.

Your help will be highly appreciated.

My advise setup the application with the tables from Scratch then in the new Service Provider ServiceNow instance and then plan on migrating the data via Rest Integration/Import Export of XML data. That looks like the only way possible which is clean.
