Instance Upgrade

Rishabh_N

Two days ago, I tried to upgrade my Personal Developer Instance from Washington DC to Xanadu, but for the past two days, it’s still showing 'Instance upgrade in progress.' My instance contains a lot of data from my practice work. Can someone guide me on what I should do now?

Hi @Rishabh_N

Upgrade should not take this much time , if it taking 2 days, means something wrong and there is no support available for PDI. You ca wait for some more time and release the instance is the last option.

You can try downloading your data in XML if the problem still persists. Resetting is a good option if you find a way to somehow protect your data and then be able to load in on the new instance.

Check your current version and carefully review the release notes for the new version, which provide insights into new features, improvements, and any breaking changes. Before initiating the upgrade, it's important to back up your data and configurations to safeguard against potential issues. Customizations and integrations should be tested in sub-production environments, like development or testing instances, to confirm their compatibility with the new version. Once everything is validated, you can schedule the upgrade for the production instance, ideally during off-peak hours to minimize disruption. After the upgrade, comprehensive testing is necessary to verify that both out-of-the-box functionality and custom features are working correctly. Any post-upgrade issues should be addressed promptly, and the system should be closely monitored for performance and stability. Finally, maintaining regular updates and patches after the upgrade ensures that your instance stays secure and runs optimally.

There is no support for PDI. So case will not work here.
