Is there a way to auto assign Requests to an Assignment group?

We have several Service Catalog templates set up. I have been asked if we can default the Assignment Group on the Req.

Currently I have all the SCTASKs auto assigning to a group or individual; however, they would also like the REQ to auto assign to a Primary Assignment Group, based on the template used.

Is it possible to set this up?

Yes, you can create assignment rule lookup.
