Having an issue with our in house Demand Manager unable to view the available "Create Task" option on the Idea record.
He can only see Demand, Project and the TeamSpaces option:
While I, with admin role, can see all of these options:
Assuming this is role issue, but he has the Idea Manager role, so what other role does he need to see all the available options. He especially wants Epic and Story option.
Also, when he goes to look for Ideas, his only option is looking at "My Ideas":
Unlike me, again with admin role, can see this:
I am sure this is role related as well - just need to find the correct role for him to be able to do all.

The description on the idea_manager_professional role is
Users with this role can convert an idea to all the entities including demand and project
so that might be worth a try. Does this user also have the itil role?

This is what my module record looks like
We were restricting it to itil, but I changed it to idea_manager in this environment and confirmed a user with no roles only saw My Ideas. I added the idea_manager role to this user, then impersonated them and Create New appeared as expected.
An ACL could cause this module to be hidden. Is the idea_manager user able to create new idea records - either from the list view or a direct URL like this?

Look at the Create New record for the idea table in System Definition > Modules on the left nav. This will show you the role(s) that this one module is restricted to - the others are likely the same.

OK those two options were restricted to admin - I removed that role and it's still not showing up for anyone that is not an admin... still there as me with admin...

Admin will always have access to all modules. The Roles field is to grant access to the module, so you would want to add Idea Manager.
