Hi Sir,
I have found that admin is able to edit the knowledge article and it is not showing the error message "This article cannot be edited since it is already checked out" .
In this knowledge article , can you tell me exactly which role is required to edit this knowledge article after checked out and author are different . if the author is opening the knowledge article this error message is showing and checkout done by approver(another person).

After checked out done by any person other than author , author is not able to write some thing because the form is read only and showing info message .
