Multi level grouping in list view

Put this in the Change Management forum, but relevant to all - not sure there a general category. . .
In a list view - eg when viewing a list of open changes, incidents etc I would like to group by, say, Assignment Group - which is easily done by right clicking and then 'Group by' on the field. However, I then want to expand that group, but have the tasks underneath grouped again by, say, Assigned to
Is this possible? Can't seem to find a way to do it

Lists only allow one level of grouping. You could sort by Assignment Group and then sort by Assigned To. Once grouped, each Assignment Group's tasks should then be sorted by Assigned To.

Any updates on this? At least 2 group levels would be fine for some requirements we have...
