on-call scheduling - user availability preference

Our schedule is weekdays 0800-1600, with 5 member team and a weekly rotation changing every monday. But we have people who are not working on a SPECIFIC DAY in the week.
 Example:  CHRISTE  is never available on Wednesdays; 
      Willem  is never available on Mondays.

When I generate a schedule, I want the system not to plan Criste on Wednesdays and Willem on Mondays; instead just take the next person in the order for that day.

 

Anyone had similar planning like this ? Do you suggest any OOTB solution to this ?

Hello! Have you been able to find any assistance with this? I need to do a similar kind of thing! One of our teams has 6 people, 4 take week day call, but one of those doesn't work Fridays; all 6 rotate on nights & weekends. This has been a nightmare to set up!

Beth, I tried to work with user availability preferences, but it didn't work in my case may be you can try it once.

I can suggest the following work around.

- shiftA timing Weekday nights

- shiftB timing weekends

- shiftC timings weekday day hours

. making sure the order of people in shiftA and B are same so its the same person who is planned the whole week for rotation.

. manage shift just on Friday with an available person in shiftC
