Hi Team,

I have a query, In the "sc_req_item" table we have a field called "catalog", Want to know what the use and purpose of the field and it is was read-only, and it was not available on the form level. It was there in the list view.

Please let me know your suggestions.

Thanks in advance

  • The catalog field refers to the Service Catalog (from the sc_catalog table) from which the requested item originates.

  • When a user requests a catalog item (e.g., a laptop, access request, etc.), the sc_req_item record gets created. The catalog field stores a reference to the actual catalog (like "IT Catalog", "HR Catalog", etc.) that the item was part of.

Hi @venkatesh tadip,

'catalog' field stores/autopopulates the Service Catalog reference from which a catalog item was ordered. It shall not be changed hence it is read only.

@venkatesh tadip

it's empty for me all the time.

May be it's an old field which is never used but was kept for some purpose.

If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
