Hello,
I am writing a Background script but while running, it is showing as Not authorized. what should I do?

Hi,
If we want execute the background scripts, at first we have to elevating our role to security admin.
Click on user menu(system administrator) =>click/select the elevate roles => click/select the security admin check box => execute/re run the script.

What version of Service Now are you using? I think background scripts used to require elevated roles so try elevating your role to security admin and re-run.
