Reporting on Problem tasks where Problem Related incident equals critical

Hello,

I need to report against all problem tasks where the parent problem has a Priority 1 - Critical incident within its related lists. Can anyone advise on the best way to do this.

I was hoping to be able to do this without custom reports or database views but thats only as I don't know how to work with these reports.

If anyone can provide advice on what table is best to report from or the best way to produce this data I would appreciate it. I need to be able to discuss all tasks and update in a monthly critical incident action meeting.

Thanks in advance,

Neil.

Not sure if you figured it out within 2 years, but you want make sure you're running the report on the Problem Tasks table.   To get to the Parent Problem fields, you'll need to go to dot.walk.   Related lists are indicated in green text followed by [ + ].   Click the " + " icon to expand to get those fields.   This is for adding columns to the report.

For filter conditions, you'll have to dot.walk twice.   Find "Parent Problems => Task fields" and expand the list.

Scroll all the way near to the bottom and find "Problem ( + )" related field.   Click on it and expand.

In that expanded list, you can use "Priority" as the field for the condition.

I do want to mention that the above example is based on a highly customized instance.   Depending on how your instance/tables have been configured/customized, you may have to go through different steps.   However, the process is the same.
