Hi,
Is it possible to perform an exact search match using the Text Search function against tables other than Task (such as cmdb_ci or a Survey table) so that the exact search record is displayed rather than the matches found and then the record within it which then needs to be clicked on to be brought to the record.
I can only see this available for Tasks and this can be switched off using the Search Tips and Functions but I don't see an option for switching any other Tables on or off in Search.
Thanks in Advance,
Peter

Hi Peter,
You can search against any indexed text field, and optionally text fields in supported attachment types. Instructions for configuring Global Search are here on the wiki:

Cheers,
Joe

We actually had the same problem and SN Support told us that for Exact Match searches, records are returned from the Task (task) and Knowledge (kb_knowledge) tables only. We've opened an enhancement request on this and you might want to escalate to your account manager if you feel like it's impacting your user experience.
