Hi All,
I am integrating my service now instance with MS SCOM 2012. For that I have installed the connector onto the SCOM server and have followed the instructions mentioned in wiki. But there is no incident that is getting created in Service now for any alerts .
There is no error logs regarding any connection details on the servie now side.
I would like to know if there is any log files on the MS SCOM side where in the errors are captured when the connector is unable to send the alerts out of MS SCOM?
OR
How do I test the connection?
Regards,
Naveen

Are you using ServiceNow's connect off of there Wiki or a third party one? The reason I ask is I thought that the one in the Wiki only worked with 2007 and you had to go get one of the free third party ones.

I have the connector working to create events from SCOM 2012 to Service-now. When you have the plug-in installed on the SCOM server, it will appear as a Service-now connector. You need to create an new event subscription or add this connector to an existing event subscription activity. This will then create an incident and you can view these incidents in the Incidents (SCOM). You will need the SCOM administrator to rewrite the SCOM subscription to include the connector.
I am having trouble with the SCOM script includes that uses the update_alert.exe. I need to know what to use for the SCOM server name. Did you get this to work?

Hi John,
Since you have been able to create incidents could you please help me out as I am unable to create an incident in Service Now using SCOM connector.
I have also created a new event subscirption but that is also not working.

Naveen,
If you have installed and configured the Service-now connector in SCOM. You should see the ServiceNow connector in the list of connectors. You can then follow the steps at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934756 to create a test alert and attach it to the Service-now connector. The different in SCOM 2012 is that you need to click on the business rule to enable it rather than using the command line to activate the alert. There is also a utility written by some Microsoft coders to test SCOM 2012 alerts at http://thoughtsonopsmgr.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-to-test-notification-settings-how.html
Do you know how to create and test alerts and send the to a subscription? Then you can get this to work.
You will need to modify the update_alert.exe to make sure it calls the right web service. We are still working on the update_alert.exe
Let me know if you have further questions or figure out the update_alert.exe code.
