ServiceNow are not sending notifications to external email addresses (Non- ServiceNow users)

Hi All, 

 

I have been trying to send some ServiceNow notifications to users who are not ServiceNow users and some email addresses are distributed lists.  I know we can use the email address field in the notification whom to send to but do not receive them emails unless your in the system.  I want to send emails to external ServiceNow user and distributed lists. Is there a way to fix this or workaround this?

Ideally it should send.

Did you check this was happening early as well?

That is what I assumed but I checked the email logs. They show DL's and third parties emails are not processed or mails are not sent too.

Were you able to figure out the issue? I am having a similar issue where external emails in the watchlist are not getting sent notifications consistently. The activity feed and logs state they are being sent, but upon testing, they never actually get delivered. Any ideas?
