Sidebar how to limit it only to itil users

Hi,

 

Is there a way to make the Sidebar only accessible to itil users. Currently any user can access the chat. We only want itil users to communicate with each other.

Based on your screenshot, David (non itil) was actively added to the sidebar...did you want to not be able to add non-itil users? I believe OOB allows you to add anyone to a sidebar and unless they are added or in a sidebar's member query, they won't have access to the sidebar. I also believe that only itil users can initiate a sidebar conversation.

...unless you have configured your instance so that Connect Chat is in the sidebar - Moving from Connect Chat to Sidebar - Support and Troubleshooting (servicenow.com) -  in that case, it may be possible for a non-itil user to strike up a sidebar (they would have had connect chat access).

 

There is also a "Participants" section under Conversational Interfaces > Settings that might help?
