Sprint field not populating on Story + SAFe Sprint fields are read-only (PDI)

I am working on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in my personal developer instance (PDI) and facing two related issues. When I create a Story, the Sprint field is not populating and no sprints appear. 

Also, on the SAFe Sprint record, the SAFe team field is empty, State is Draft, and fields like Planned start date and Planned end date are read-only. How to make the Sprint field work on Stories would be really helpful.
