Hi all,
I need to create a standard/guideline around IT Asset Ownership. Any (good) templates out there you recommend? ISO, NIST, and/or ITIL. My focus is primarily on the following :
1) Define Ownership, what an owner is?
2) After identification, what does it mean to be an owner?
3) What do I need those owners to do? (e.g. Drive a Roadmap)
Please advise.

Hi,
An asset owner is the person that is financially responsible for the asset. It owns the asset and can make decisions that can affect the state of the asset at any point. Is important to understand that the asset owner is not necessarily the person who manages it (maintains it) nor the person to which the asset has been assigned to.
I hope this helps
Thanks,
Berny

Thank you, Berny. I had in mind something different. I'm looking for an industry standard/Guideline around IT Asset Ownership (e.g. roles and resposabilities.)
Regards

Jesus:
You might want to look at the COBIT 5 Framework focused on asset management, process BAI09. If you are not an ISACA member you will have to purchase the document. Here is the link to the landing page: http://www.isaca.org/Knowledge-Center/Research/ResearchDeliverables/Pages/Build-Acquire-and-Implemen...
