Telecom billing in ServiceNow

I'm interested to know if anyone is doing telecom billing in ServiceNow - particularly having replaced Pinnacle or MySoft.

We actually do bill, right now we generate a report in Pinnacle that allows customers to see their bills before we invoice them. It would be nice if we had an integration to automate payment with our financial system, which is Kuali, but we just transfer files at the moment.

Chris,

Are there any updates on what your team at Univ of OK is doing? I am researching options for Service Now integration with other telephony billing systems, such as a replacement for MySoft (or Pinnacle) types systems. Has anyone been successful integrating with Service Now to do the billing or is there another replacement options outside of the Pinnacle choice that is working successfully.

Thank you,

VW

Sorry for the delayed response, Veta. We've not made any progress on this yet, but it remains on my whiteboard as a "love to do" project. Sorry I have nothing more to add. Keep me informed, though; I'd love to hear about your progress.

Daniel -

I sat on a conference call with you - between UK and Penn State.   Penn State uses both   Pinnacle and ServiceNow.

Be interested to see where this goes...are you thinking a plugin?   Like WorkDay, Peoplesoft, etc.?

Curious too about the use case for university telecom and how that differs from private/public service providers.

Thanks for starting the conversation -

We at the University of Chicago IT Services are looking at re-implementations of Pinnacle (4 to 6) and ServiceNow (Calgary to Fuji) and we are investigating how they will work together.

We have talked with Dan as part of our efforts previously.

Not much to add to the conversation at this time, but definitely want to be a part of this conversation.
